International Museum Communication Awards 2007IMCA organizes the first Awards about communication for museums on 29 November 2007 in partnership with The Art Newspaper, Agenda and Bizart.
These awards will reward the best museum design and communication strategy in 13 categories: logo, corporate design, signage, editorial design, poster, advertising campaign, direct mail, online communication, mixed media campaign, innovation, merchandising, partnerships and integration.
The purpose of the IMCA is to recognize and stimulate imagination and best practices in communication and design in European museums.
IMCA wants to raise the standards of creative excellence in the museum industry, and encourage art organizations finding original and inventive ways to communicate their positioning and their values.
It is a great opportunity to increase awareness of museums efforts in communication on a local and international level.
The awards are open to all museums and galleries in Europe.
President of the IMCA-Awards is Damien Whitmore, Director of programming at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.
