Room for AdvertisingARCAM is devoting an exhibition to the phenomenon of advertising in the city.
Companies, governments and cultural institutions are becoming increasingly inventive in utilizing the public space for their products, services and directions.
Posters, columns and billboards have always been around, but enormous façade banners and projected images, for example, are becoming increasingly attention grabbing and obtrusive.
Enormous sums of money are spent on renting façade space in prime locations and there is a huge interest in "artvertising".
The exhibition stimulates visitors to think about questions such as: what does the city do with advertisements?
And what do advertisements do with the city?
In cooperation with: Selmore, DDB, Naked Communications, TBWA, Imagine, FHV BBDO, Merx, BSUR en Usual Suspects.
