Adnan Serbest: IMM Cologne 2007

Adnan Serbest's armchair design, named No.8, nominated for the interior innovation award imm Cologne 07 and succeed to be in the first 100 designs as he achieved in last two years.

In Adnan Serbest 2007 Design Collection, the company continues to emphasize the simplicity and uniqueness concepts which are both its own phenomena. While creating the designs, instead of leaning towards what is popular, it creates unique, surprising, functional life spaces that do not belong to a certain time period, by synthesizing expertise and correct material with new form.



In the Adnan Serbest 2007 Design Collection which is composed of 25 pieces in total, of every single piece, there is a design story that has started years ago and still continues. The designer represents himself by playing with geometrical lines while using traditional materials. Adnan Serbest transforms geometric silhouettes to three dimensional designs and creates simple forms with the balance it achieves between the materials it uses. With its unique production technique, design details and the character that it contributes to the form; the company aims to create a special atmosphere in the place. This collection in which wood, metal and glass are used in their most natural form, was created for the people who know the power of explaining and defining their personalities. Every piece is a product of a professional and a symbol of the boundaries that are forced by the craftsman who is also a designer himself.



For the fourth time, Design Collection will attend to the imm Cologne International Furniture Exhibition which will be organized in Cologne between the dates 15-21 January 2007. Adnan Serbest who has first attended to the imm cologne in 2005 with Adnan Serbest Design Collection which has succeeded both in Turkey and in the World, also had the opportunity to exhibit its products in the Milan Design exhibition between dates 5-10 April 2006. Adnan Serbest products were exhibited inside the Studio Goradesky in Zona Tortona in which the designers and design companies were located; these Adnan Serbest products attracted a lot of attention of the visitors due to their uniqueness concept.



The armchair design in the Collection named No.8, made totally from chrome was chosen among the "Best of 2006 furniture" by Wallpaper magazine. The newest piece in the collection is shd chair; attracts attention with its simple lines and its fragility. No.7 named armchair design, also made totally from chrome, was among the first 100 designs in the imm cologne 2006 exhibition and got the chance to be on the Hit Guide 2006.



This year, Adnan Serbest started to cooperate with design companies such as MDF, E15 which have proven themselves in the world markets and with successful Turkish companies that operate both in and out of Turkey; the company aims the American, European and Japanese markets and to keep on attending to the world-wide famous exhibitions.
