February 2, 2008  |  Levent OZLER

Nancy Novogrod, editor-in-chief of Travel + Leisure, announces that the Ritz-Carlton Beijing, Financial Street; the Olympic Sculpture Park, Seattle; and the Tank Louis Cartier Dual Time Zone watch are among the recipients of the magazine's 2008 Design Awards, recognizing standout design in fifteen categories, from hotels to transportation to fashion.

In addition, T+L names its second annual Design Champion: Amanda Burden, commissioner of city planning of New York.

Selected by a panel of seven jurors, the winners are being honored at an event at the Frank Gehry-designed IAC Building in New York City on February 12, and are featured in Travel + Leisure's March issue.
