Design Victoria together with Sustainability Victoria announced the next seminar in the Business Ready, Design for Sustainability Series: Sustainable Packaging Trends and Opportunities.
This seminar will feature a presentation by Professor Scott Boylston from Savannah College of Art and Design (USA).
Sustainable packaging is not only about changing materials and improving recycling.
It is also about decreasing the amount of packaging used.
Designing packaging that is functional, cost effective, has no harmful side effects on human health and minimises the impact on the environment is an increasing priority for designers, industry and consumers.
What role can designers play in designing packaging that meets this brief?
This event will suit designers from all disciplines with an interest in sustainability issues, but particularly graphic designers and those responsible for packaging design.
