The touchstone of good design

Malini Ramani does have a simple formula. She only creates designs which she herself would like to wear. Her outfits have vibrant colours, plunging necklines and lots of glamour.
This graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology, New York, hit the Indian fashion scene four years ago. She realised soon that her forte lies in making women feel and look glamorous.
Her designs are sold at almost all the leading stores in India. She also owns two flagship stores in Delhi and Goa. Malini is currently selling shoes, apparel, handbags and assorted items of fashion under her own label in several prominent boutiques in India such as Ensemble, Ogaan, Oak Tree, Camelot, Qutab Colonnade and Sosa, and also to private clients in Paris, Milan, London and New York.
This designer has enlivened the ramp with saris, handbags, sandals, denim jackets, halter-tops, and even wedding lehangas. And, all of them proved to be major hits.
Some of her clients are Bollywood stars. She has been featured in top magazines including Elle, Marie Claire, Cosmopoliton and Newsweek.
