From Milan Furniture Fair 2004 Invitation to the home of De Lucchi

From Milan Furniture Fair 2004: "Invitation to the home of De Lucchi"

May 1, 2004  |  bengisu

From Domus Magazine.
Amongst the 'privileges' offered by the Salone is a chance to enter into places unknown even to those living in Milan, places that for the rest of the year remain invisible and that during design week live a double life. One of these is the studio of Michele De Lucchi on the third floor of a historic building in via Pallavicino near the city centre. Here the architect who gave the Post Office a new look works with a staff of around thirty architects. And here an invitation is extended to discover the lesser known aspects (with sketches, models and prototypes) of his new cupboard developed for Alias. Here also the latest designs for his more experimental brand, Produzione Privata, with which since 1990 he has been cultivating new alliances between designers and artisans, research into innovative and traditional materials.
