Jim RiderRhinofx recently signed VFX Supervisor/Artist Jim Rider to reinforce their growing feature film division. With considerable experience across the entire realm of effects projects, Rider's talents include motion control, Flame, compositing, and animation. Jim is able to effectively synthesize his effects expertise, evidenced by a body of work that includes a long line of significant feature film projects including Across the Universe, Evan Almighty, Chicago, and Titanic. Rhinofx has also generated an impressive list of recent film credits, which include Perfect Stranger, The Nanny Diaries, and the current production of the Dreamworks/Paramount venture, Ghost Town.

Rider will add additional firepower to rhino's Connecticut based studio, which is dedicated to the production of VFX for features. The addition of Rider underscores the company's ongoing efforts to broaden in-house experience and expertise, positioning themselves at the forefront of innovative content across multiple screens. Driving the growth in film effects, COO Camille Geier comments, "This addition really supports the current direction of our feature film capabilities. Jim is a tremendous talent and we will benefit from his history with big time features and his deep relationships across the film community."

Prior to joining rhinofx, Rider worked for Image G (LA), Film East (NY), and Big Film Design (NY), and as a freelance artist, contributing his talents to additional successful features such as The Nanny Diaries, The Good Shepherd, Requiem for a Dream, The Green Mile, Stuart Little, and The Nutty Professor. Rider has also worked as a VFX Supervisor for major television shows, contributing to The Sopranos, and he has previously been nominated for two Primetime Emmy's. Jim noted rhino's major focus on film projects as a reason to make the move, commenting that "rhinofx's dedication to features has been really evident over the last several years, both in the additional bandwidth they have available and in the quality of work on some major films. I am excited about working with their team and continuing their positive momentum."
