Garrison Starr Rock Poster Garners National and Local Recognition for Creativille, Inc.

Graphic Design and Branding firm, Creativille, Inc., has been recognized by two juried competitions. AIGA 365: A Year in Design, and AIGA St. Louis 13 Show. The collective jury of all both shows is a true representation of the top designers from around the country.

"To be chosen by such a group of designers is truly a humbling honor," says Steve Hartman, President and Creative Director of Creativille, Inc.

AIGA, The Professional Association of Design, has selected a Creativille, Inc. designed poster for Nashville rocker, Garrison Starr for its annual 365: Year in Design Competition. The poster will be placed in the permanent collection at the National Design Archives in Denver, CO; and will be on display at the Competition's opening exhibit at AIGA's National Design Center in New York City. The show will then travel to locations around the country as part of the traveling exhibition.

The Garrison Starr Rock Poster, was designed for Big Club Hall, a private entertainment club in the Historic Hill neighborhood of St. Louis. The concert was also recorded for a yet-to-be-released album. This isn't the first Big club Hall poster by Creativille to be given recognition. Past concerts by local jazz legends, Dave Stone, and Margaret Biancetta have also landed awards and national recognition for the Edwardsville-based design firm.

Creativille's creation was also selected at the local St. Louis AIGA Chapter for its own design competition, recently exhibited at the Mad Art Gallery in St. Louis, MO. Creativille's book design submission, "Mary Todd Lincoln: First Lady of Controversy" was selected to join the list of 50 winning entries. Earlier this year, the same book was awarded an international award by HOW Magazine.

A resident of Edwardsville, Hartman established Creativille, Inc. in 2000. The company's roster of clients includes a diverse mix of Fortune 500 companies, private corporations, educational institutions and non-profit organizations located throughout the United States. Hartman sits on the National Board of Directors for AIGA, the largest design association, and has featured work in most international design books, publications and award annuals. He is also an active member of the local business community and has donated his time to the Edwardsville Arts Center.
