Istanbul Design Week Postponed Until June 2009

Design in Turkey has announced that, after careful consideration, the Istanbul Design Week has been postponed to June 16 - 20, 2009.
This has been due to circumstances beyond control in connection to technical issues with regard to Old Galata Bridge.
Istanbul Design Week has historically been organized on the Old Galata Bridge, which is a fascinating bridge that requires special maintenance each year in order to make it suitable for the event.
There are several conditions that have delayed Design in Turkey from obtaining the necessary clearance for the original October dates.
Exhibitors and organisers remain committed to making Istanbul Design Week into a world class event and now the focus has shifted to 2009.
