19th Warsaw Poster Biennial Begins This Weekend

The 19th International Poster Biennial (IPB)*, Warsaw 2004, has announced its Programme of Events. The IPB presents poster work created world-wide during the period between 2002 and 2003 and aims to promote and compare the most significant achievements of that time. The event is being organised by the Poster Museum at Wilanow Department of the National Museum in Warsaw and Polish Poster Foundation. The 19th IPB 2004 Exhibition will run from 5 June to 26 September 2004.
The IPB Office accepted 2295 works from 762 designers in 47 countries. The Qualifying Committee for the Competitive Exhibition selected 453 posters submitted by 277 designers from 33 countries. Posters were divided into the categories 'ideological,' 'cultural,' 'advertising' and 'debuts'.
