Computation: The New Realm of Architectural Design

The 27th conference on Education and Research in Computer Aided Architectural Design in Europe (eCAADe) is planned for 16-19 September 2009.
The theme of the conference is "Computation: The New Realm of Architectural Design".
In the field of architecture, Computational Design has emerged as sub-discipline which has a multidisciplinary nature and uses computing methods and capabilities to understand and solve architectural design problems.
Computational Design aims to provide means for harnesing more deliberate and conscious ways of computing processes in design.
The conference is organized by Istanbul Technical University (ITU) and Yildiz Technical University (YTU) and will be held in Istanbul Technical University, Faculty of Architecture, Taskisla Campus.
Deadline for extended abstracts is February 2, 2009.
