Light Battle: Contemporary Light Design From Denmark and Finland
January 12, 2009 | Levent OZLER
The story of the exhibition takes as its starting point the traditional visions about the designing of lamps with a clear association between the form and function of a lamp.
The exhibition opens up a theme that is important to all of us - to have sources of light that illuminate our surroundings, emotionally and practically. Furthermore, the notion of sustainable light has become increasingly important in our everyday life where energy saving is vital.
The show is thus both an expression of curiosity and a wish to present side by side some of the world's best light design solutions from these two well-known Scandinavian design nations.
