Anthony Grech-Cumbo Joins the BDI Team
January 24, 2009 | Levent OZLER
British Design Innovation announced the new appointment of Anthony Grech-Cumbo to its Editorial and Communications Team.
Anthony's role will combine his skills as a talented communicator with his experience working for the Philharmonia Orchestra's Development Department.
Anthony is an ambitious and dynamic young professional with a wealth of experience gained in many areas.
The application process was fiercely competitive, however Anthony outstripped the competition with his outstanding qualifications, most notably his First Class degree in the uniquely combined field of History of Art, Design and Architecture with Creative Writing, awarded in 2007 by Kingston University.
This qualification built on the already strong foundation of Anthony's previous studies in Graphic Design and honed his talent for written communication.
Anthony's demonstrable passion for design is perfectly paired with the administrative skills he has been working to establish since graduation, most recently on the Arts Management Training Programme at the Philharmonia Orchestra.
In this role Anthony performed with dedication and efficiency in the highly pressurised offices of one of the world's leading Orchestras.
His tasks ranged from writing copy for the website and tri-annual Friends of the Philharmonia newsletter to helping organise fundraising events for the Orchestra, including the imminent prestigious gala evening with former President of the Soviet Union Mikhail Gorbachev.
