Absolute Zero Degrees Create New Branding for Southern Star Factual
January 31, 2009 | keith stephenson
Southern Star Factual was created in March 2008 when Oxford Scientific Films, the world renowned producer of natural history, science and other factual programmes, merged with Southern Star's Sydney based documentary division.
Absolute Zero Degrees were commissioned to create the brand identity for this newly formed part of the Southern Star Group.
The remit was to retain enough of the parent company's brand equity to ensure immediate recognition, whilst creating a factual programing specific visual style and a more contemporary look and feel.
The new identity has now been applied to the company's corporate literature and website, uniting the London and Sydney offices, and made its on-air debut in November 2008 with the broadcast of Southern Star Factual's widely acclaimed Channel 4 Dispatches documentary: "Saving Africa's Witch Children".
