February 19, 2009 | Levent OZLER
On Thursday, February 26, and Friday, February 27, the International Academy of Design & Technology will be hosting its annual Interior Design Conference, Campus Green, at its Troy location in conjunction with American Society of Interior Designers (ASID).
Campus Green is a two-day event dedicated to educating students and professionals about the applications of environmentally friendly products for interior design.
It also includes guest speakers and a showcase of student work.
This year Rachelle Schoessler Lynn, CID, ASID, LEED AP of Studio 2030 in Minneapolis is the key-note speaker.
Rachelle has devoted her career to sustainable design, serves on the licensing board for the State of Minnesota, previously chaired the National Sustainable Design Council for ASID, and currently serves on the ASID National Board of Directors.
During Thursday's evening event, Rachelle will address how to think outside the box when it comes to sustainability, innovation and interior design.
During Friday's day session (8:30 am - 2:00 pm), Rachelle will expand on the topic by presenting a case study on creating a sustainable library and discussing the global impact of each design choice a designer makes while creating a viable space.
