Creative Industries Could Outstrip Financial Sector
February 24, 2009 | Levent OZLER
Britain's creative industries could soon employ more people than the financial sector, according to new figures.
Statistics from the National Endowment for Science, Technology and the Arts show that, by 2013, the creative sector is expected to employ 1.3 million people.
A spokeswoman for Nesta says the sector will then outstrip financial services, which currently employs 1.2 million professionals, according to Financial Services Skills Council figures.
