Langara College and Rethink launch the Rethink Scholarship

Vancouver's Langara College and Rethink Communications have teamed up to offer one aspiring art director or designer a chance to win a two-year fully paid $18,000 scholarship to Langara's new Communication and Ideation Design program.
Students apply by using a sketch book to convey their ideas, which will be judged by Rethink co-creative directors Chris Staples and Ian Grais.
"Art directors and designers use these books to capture thoughts and develop their ideas," explained Ian Grais
"We're not looking for polished, completed work - that's what the program is designed to help them with - we're looking for great thinking, creativity, and passion and encourage students to use the book however they see fit."
"Rethink has been a supporter of the Langara programs for several years now and many of our students already have, or aspire to, work in the advertising industry", said Greg Blue, Program Coordinator at Langara College.
"So it seemed like a natural fit for both of us, with Rethink supporting emerging talent and offering one of them an internship as part of the scholarship and for Langara to have the endorsement of a leading local creative agency."
Deadline for submission is May 8th, 2009.
