DMY International Design Festival Berlin 2009

The DMY International Design Festival Berlin 2009 will take place from Wednesday 3rd - 7th of June 2009.
Over the period of 5 days the DMY International Design Festival Berlin will provide a home for the international design scene presenting exhibitions, lectures, workshops and open studios.
The Festival will continue to grow in 2009: For the first time, there will be a second central exhibition space that will serve as a presentation platform for international design festivals, established design brands and professionally active designers.
Beloved and successful modules such as the central exhibition DMY Youngsters (up-and-coming design), the DMY Symposium (lectures & workshops) or the legendary DMY Klublabor (parties / night-clubbing program) will be expanded.
From 2009 onwards, city-wide satellite events, special exhibitions and open studios will take place within the module DMY Extended.
The traditional Designers Dinner, where an international jury presented a selection of 10 junior designers in 2008 will evolve into the DMY Awards.
Taking place for the first time in June (not May) DMY Berlin reacts to the shift in the global design calendar, caused by late Easter bank holidays.
