Robert Burkle Receives Two Design Awards

Germany-based Robert Burkle GmbH announced that it has recently been awarded the Red Dot Design Award and the Good Design Award for the Ypsator, a multi-opening laminator for manufacturing solar modules.
The product, which features a bright yellow covering, was designed by industrial designer Jurgen R. Schmid.
The Good Design jury also recognized the sustainability, creativity, brand development and ecologically valuable design of the Ypsator, as well as its practical factors (e.g., accessibility, packing and material) when presenting the award.
"Piece by piece, the industrial machine is exceptional as regards the weight, size, dimension and comprehensive design," the jury stated.
In addition, at the end of 2008, the Ypsator won the 2009 iF Award from Design Center Hanover.
