Tower of Babel by Tivoli Audio
May 6, 2009 | Levent OZLER
On the occasion of Milan week of design 2009, Tivoli Audio has presented the "Tower of Babel" installation, conceived by Italian designer Ilaria Marelli, in order to launch the new finishes of the NetWorks global audio system and to introduce the special edition "Tivoli Audio Cappellini", realized in collaboration with Giulio Cappellini.
This spectacular replication, committed by Tom DeVesto, founder and CEO of Tivoli Audio, is inspired by the biblical Tower of Babel and by the story of the birth of various languages.
It broadcasts live radio programs from all over the world thanks to the innovative technology of NetWorks, the newest audio system from Tivoli Audio personally designed by DeVesto.
The Tower of Babel by Tivoli Audio is a 5-meter tall spiral shape built from a multicoloured combination of other Tivoli Audio models for structural function.
The installation is then highlighted with a series of innovative NetWorks global audio systems using WiFi technology to broadcast music & news in languages from all over the world in real time.
