Down to Earth Lighting
June 30, 2009 | Levent OZLER
A team of industrial design students from Swinburne University have taken an invention from a concept to a finished product.
Inventor Bradley Wein approached the students with an idea for a double-ended wand that allows people to safely change a halogen light globe from the ground.
The product, "Down to Earth Lighting", won the People's Choice Award on the ABC's New Inventors program.
The four students worked on the idea for eight months, designing concepts, researching materials and assembling the working prototype.
