Hyundai Pony Named Design Icon

The Hyundai Pony is the most iconic example of industrial design made in Korea, a survey by monthly design magazine Design of 102 experts says.
Design carried out the survey among designers and design professors to celebrate its 33rd anniversary, and Pony received 12.6 percent of the votes as the most iconic industrial design made in Korea in the last half-century.
Designed by the famous Italian car designer Giorgetto Giugiaro in 1975, the Pony was praised for its sleek and modern design and is thought to have elevated the level of design of Korean industrial products to a higher level.
