It was a night of superlatives - yesterday the best in international communication design met with Oscar winners and world champions in the red dot design museum in Essen, Germany.

Professor Dr. Peter Zec, initiator of the red dot design award, welcomed roughly 900 creative professionals and representatives of the media, business and politics, who had travelled to the awards presentation of this year's red dot award: communication design taking place in the European Capital of Culture 2010.

Six design experts from all over the world, together with the host Peter Zec, presented the winners with their awards on stage and discussed the latest trends in the design scene: Remo Caminada, Prof. Dr. Linda Breitlauch, Martin Gassner, Michel de Boer, Fabrizio Bernasconi and Oscar winner Tyron Montgomery.

The six-time world champion of battle DJing, DJ RAFIK, presented the international audience with an impressive musical programme.
