BBC North Design Challenge

The BBC is moving over 2,300 roles from London and Manchester to MediaCityUK at Salford Quays by 2011.
Some of the larger departments in the move include Sport, Children's, Radio 5live and Learning.
The main aim of this move is to shift the BBC's centre of gravity away from London and better reflect and represent the whole of the UK.
Building on the BBC's work with universities and colleges in the North, two design challenges are being launched to give students an exciting opportunity to see their design skills come to life in the BBC's new home.
One challenge is to design a phone chair, the other is to design a fabric.
The closing date for entries is April 30, 2010.
