Erik Press Named Executive Producer at Zoic Studios

Award-winning visual effects and digital production house Zoic Studios has named Erik Press to the strategic role of Executive Producer. At Zoic, Press leads artists and creative directors to produce effects-driven content with a holistic approach, uniting broadcast, advertising, theatrical and web content that engages audiences and enriches brands.

A member of the Visual Effects Society, Press' career has spanned nearly two decades. A former live action producer, it was his interest in technology that led him into Visual Effects. He has produced VFX for television commercials, promos, network image campaigns and music videos, facilitating new approaches to production that is increasingly digital.

Press was formerly tapped as Executive Producer of CBS Digital, producing VFX for mini-series and episodic television, including the re-mastered effects for Star Trek: The Original Series for Paramount Television and ESPN's The Bronx is Burning.

As Executive Producer at Beau Studio, Press was responsible for producing animation for the famous lizards of Sobe and Lifewater, along with other memorable spots for Gatorade, Maaco, Cable One and Dove Chocolate. In the feature world, Press produced a CG stunt car sequence for the Angelina Jolie film Wanted and created 15-plus creatures for the upcoming film Mad Cow.

In addition to his Executive Producer role at Zoic Studios, Press is also active in producing Zoic's Salon Series with VFX Supervisor/Creative Director Les Ekker. He is also a founder of Fireflies West, the San Francisco to Los Angeles fundraising bike ride for leukemia.
