Next-generation Pint Glasses Shatter Preconceived Ideas
January 12, 2010 | Levent OZLER
As part of the Design Out Crime initiative from the Home Office's Design & Technology Alliance Against Crime, the Design Council will showcase prototypes of the British pint glass of the future on February 4.
The innovative new designs look and feel like regular glass, but should reduce injuries if used in violent assaults.
The unveiling of these prototypes is the first major development in the design of the iconic British pint glass since the introduction of the "Nonic" glass in the 1960s.
