Triennale Design Museum Opens Space in NYC
January 18, 2010 | Levent OZLER
Ending months of speculation over what would move into the former space occupied by the Museum of Arts & Design on W. 53rd Street, after its move to the "Lollipop" building on Columbus Circle, Cushman & Wakefield announced today it had leased the space to an Italian museum that showcases that country's design.
The Milan-based Triennale Design Museum has signed a 15-year lease for 18,067 square feet at 40 W. 53rd Street, to open a four level museum.
The new museum is slated to open in May, in an effort to coincide with the International Contemporary Furniture Fair.
