Toast to Design Award
July 11, 2004 | Levent OZLER
A Birmingham student has won a coveted design award for creating a postcard aimed at stopping people from binge drinking.
Mo Khalil, aged 28, from Handsworth, a student at Coventry University, won £1000 and the Yellow Pencil - the top award in British Design and Advertising.
His design beat dozens of entries from colleges and universities across the UK.
Mo said: "I'm over the moon about winning the award.
"It's an amazing end to my degree course, especially as the competition was so tough. I'll use the prize money to buy everyone a drink at graduation in November!"
