Healthy Homes for Haiti: International Architectural Design Competition
September 5, 2010 | Levent OZLER
ARCHIVE launched a global architectural competition calling for architects, designers, and health specialists to submit their ideas to the building of "healthy homes" for Haiti.
The housing units are unique in that throughout the entire project, from design, construction, and habitation, Health is a driving factor.
The housing units will make use of common sense design principles, and all units should seek to minimize the transmission of tuberculosis.
The community of St. Marc will be actively engaged in the project, helping refine the final ideas to ensure the long-term viability of the project.
