With 13 shows under its belt, Global Village’s International Fashion Sale has partnered with the Cape Town fashion Week, bringing this highly successful Johannesburg show to the Cape. The show is the largest fashion exposition in the Southern hemisphere and will launch at Fashion Week on Wednesday, 18th August.
Based on the world Famous Birmingham Clothes Show, now just called Clothes Show, the largest fashion exposition in the world, the IFS has increased in size, number of brands on offer, and volume of public attendance in every one of its last 13 shows except one. It is the largest selection of local and internationally branded designer merchandise under one roof at discounted prices in the country.
“We present over 140 different brand owners and suppliers who bring over 650 brands to the party. We are excited that this year we have finally added in a large stand where we will be representing designers and other branded merchandise for fashion suppliers who can’t be at the show themselves. And while we are encouraging local designers to give us their merchandise too we aren’t treating them separately under a South African designers section but including them in the broader genre of fashion design alongside the international brands.
