Red Dot is calling for entries for its 2013 Product Design Award.
Whether it's with an innovative piece of furniture, revolutionary laboratory technology or breathtaking architecture - young and up-and- coming talents as well as established designers are once again invited to demonstrate their know-how and stand out from the masses. There are 19 different product groups in which products can be entered.
An evaluation process spanning several days will take place in February 2013, during which the more than 30 experts on the panel will test, discuss and assess each individual product live and in situ in Essen, Germany. Only then will the winners of the product design award be decided.
"I have known for more than 20 years now just what our competition means to the designers and entrepreneurs and how enthusiastically they communicate their success and will celebrate it at our award ceremony," commented Prof. Dr. Peter Zec, initiator and CEO of the red dot.
"And with good reason. They and their winning products are presented extensively - in our yearbooks, at our exhibitions and in the media."
The deadline for registrations is January 18, 2013, with a late deadline of February 6, 2013.
