FLOS Wins Two 2013 Good Design Awards

FLOS has won two 2013 Good Design Awards for Kelvin Green II, designed by Antonio Citterio with Toan Nguyen, and AIM, designed by Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec.

The Kelvin Green II task lamp is the first of its kind to include both an ambient light sensor to automatically decrease consumption as alternate light becomes brighter and motion sensing technology to switch the light off automatically when they do not sense presence in the area. It's perfect for the environmentally conscious home or office.

The Bouroullec brothers' AIM is a suspension lamp bared down to its essence - a wire and a light source. AIM is adjustable by height and direction by sliding the fixture up and down the suspension wire and tilting to aim the light, making it a truly customizable installation.

"FLOS is honored to be recognized with two 2013 GOOD DESIGN Awards, for products that show off the passion the brand has to combine technology and brilliant design," commented Jan Vingerhoets, CEO of FLOS USA. "Both AIM and Kelvin Green II are perfect examples of a designer's vision coming to life through innovative and unique tools and techniques."
