Graphic design, Internet business expands to paint
June 29, 2003 | Dexigner Team
An enterprising couple has started a retail shop supplying high-end supplies for decorative and faux painting and a school to teach people how to do it.
Artimatrix opened earlier this month at 230 N. Mosley, Suite A.
The business is an outgrowth of Drager Design Studio, the graphic design and Web hosting business of Deb Drager and Gene Engelbert.
But the business got an odd start. Engelbert was a construction manager for Eby Construction. Drager had just left Florida and her old life and moved back to Springfield, Mo. They met online, built a relationship and when she came to visit Wichita for the first time, fell in love with Old Town.
