Jury Selects Winners of the Red Dot Award: Communication Design 2016

The winners of the 2016 Red Dot Award: Communication Design has been chosen. From Corporate Design and Apps to Retail Design, the competition aims to showcase the excellent communication solutions in the design industry.

"The increasingly international nature of our competition is proof of its growing reputation in the global design world," commented Professor Dr. Peter Zec, founder and CEO of Red Dot. "I am very proud that we have reached our aim of establishing a cross-border platform for good design, creative ideas and the latest campaigns. In today's world, communication designers have become the catalysts between the worlds of language, economics and technology, in other words, they are the engines of progress. More than ever before, we want to be a driving force for development and trends in the sector and give established as well as up-and-coming designers the opportunity to find and claim their place in the market. The Red Dot seal of quality, known around the world to stand for a high level of design, helps them to achieve this."

In contrast to the surprisingly large number of print campaign entries in 2015, this year was dominated by digital projects. In addition to the social media and apps categories, there were notable advances in website design: the classic one pager is increasingly being replaced by positive slogans, full-screen photos, striking headlines and call-to-action buttons. Web design with an emotional feel is on the increase. By establishing contact in this way, the websites achieve a digital feel-good effect and increase the loyalty users feel to the brand in question.

The winners will be announced on November 4, 2016.
