Sir Terence Conran, designer, retailer and restaurateur, and Max Fraser, author of Design UK 2, interview 110 of the world's leading furniture and product designers, inquiring about their work, inspirations, and ideas about design. The result is Designers on Design due to be published by Octopus Publishing Group USA in November 2004.
Designers on Design discusses the works of today's top contemporary furniture and product designers. Amongst the list of designers featured; Yves Behar of Fuseproject, a 2004 National Design Award nominee; Jasper Morrison, one of the world's most acclaimed designers who has worked with clients Cappellini and Vitra; Marcel Wanders, whose designs often communicate a personal story. Wanders currently heads up the art direction for Dutch manufacturer Moooi; Patrick Jouin, whose portfolio includes designing restaurant interiors for Michelin-star chef, Alain Ducasse and a furniture collection for Cassina; Patricia Urquiola, who has elevated herself to It Girl status at this year's Salone del Mobile in Milan for her work with B&B Italia.
