Fashion Fringe 2005
April 9, 2005 | Senay TOPCUOGLU
The new Fashion Fringe talent search for 2005 will be underway as from April 12, with its first event in London.
Hopeful successors to the title currently held by Basso & Brooke, the design duo who won the debut competition last September.
They will be able to attend the events free of charge where they will be able to hear leading fashion figures such as British Designer of the Year, Roland Mouret, Julien Macdonald and Burberry designer Christopher Bailey talk about how they found success.
Harvey Nichols will again host the tour, which will go from London to Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds and Edinburgh before finishing up with its first ever Dublin stop, where Harvey Nicks will also soon have a store.
As each venue holds only 100 attendees, places will be allocated on a first-come-first-s erved basis.
Having won last year, Basso & Brooke are already high on the fashion ladder with their collections manufactured by Aeffe and stocked in some of London's leading stores.
This year's winner will have the chance to show their winning collection on the catwalk at London Fashion Week in September.
