New Designer Mouse from Sony: Vaio Mouse VGP-UMS50

This new "designer" mouse from Sony is an 800 dpi optical mouse that connects to your PC or laptop via USB.
We've always assumed, experienced and confirmed the fact that general pear or slightly puffed pear shaped pointing devices are most ergonomic and comfortable to use, but is it possible that we were wrong?
No, I don't think so.
Neither were Microsoft and Starck when they made that optical egg mouse.
Sony thinks that an angled can of tuna attached to a wire can be more comfortable than a pear in your hand. What do you think?
Sony says that the mouse is ergonomically designed, and has three touch points that "provide comfort and support".
Add to that an "Innovative low-friction, non-stick PTFE (Polytetrafluoroet hylene) sole that allows for smooth and precise navigation".
Ahh, right, right. Don't even let me get started on this one.
