Flakes Chair

Flakes is a modern stacking chair where fibre glass seat is combined with slim tubular steel base.
Restrained choice of materials and clean-cut design make Flakes a true design object.
Fittings of the seat are moulded inside the seat which, in the translucent chair especially, makes a striking detail.
Reinterpretation of fibre glass enables a diversity of versions of the chair including the option of casting it with for instance logos or monograms embedded and visible through the translucent material.
The chair is available in several colours, translucent and upholstered.
Designed by SHL Design by Architects Schmidt, Hammer & Lassen, Aarhus, Denmark, the chair was designed for the Aarhus Art Museum in 2004.
