Toyota Outlines Big Research and Development Base

Thailand is expected to see the first vehicle developed by Toyota's new local research and development (R&D) facilities within the next three years, according to Eiichi Omura, general manager for Toyota Motor Corporation's overseas product development division.
Japan's leading automaker yesterday officially announced the establishment of facilities in Thailand and Australia to reinforce the product development capability in the growing Asian and Oceanian markets. The company also has R&D centres in Europe and the United States.
