The Cinetica by Carla Tennenbaum

The Cinetica by Carla Tennenbaum

December 4, 2005  |  Elif SUNGUR

The Cinetica line was inspired by visual designs that are at one time abstract, simple and impegnated with meaning and rhythm.

Patterns such as the spyral, which relates to the history of human secular and religious expression.

The tapestries are handcrafted, made out of E.V.A. residue collected from industry and cutting parlors, which is cut into small particles and re-assembled, without the use of glue or any other external adhesive.

This line of work aims to exemplify how images of beauty, harmony and playfulness can originate from inexpensive-discar ded materials, abundant in an industry environment.
