Winston is a sturdy, hard wearing, deep buttoned leather armchair. He is ashamedly British and draws upon the visual cues of the 19th century armchairs, but has updated them, using a bold geometric shape, for a modern audience.

Winston forms part of a collection of furniture designed to challange the ecological issues surrounding designing furniture, in Winston`s case it is designing a product and marketing it as a product for life.

Utilising the skills in a traditional upholstery workshop, this piece is designed to be manufactured in Britain. This is beneficial both economically and environmentally. It ensures that job and skills are preserved. UK production for a UK market ensures transportation is kept to a minimum and production under UK environmental legislation ensures that they are not exporting pollution to less regulated economies.
