The Stockholm Design Guide to Stockholm Furniture Fair 2006 Released

The Stockholm Design Guide is released, Stockholm Furniture Fair's guide to the Stockholm Design Week and the furniture fair. The guide includes a listing of some forty events organised by showrooms, galleries and design companies in Stockholm in conjunction with the Stockholm Furniture Fair which takes place from 8-12 February 2006.
The Stockholm Design Guide is produced for the fifth year running and is a cooperation between Stockholm International Fairs and the Italian design magazine Interni.
- The guide is an invaluable tool as it clearly summarises the whole of the Stockholm Design Week, says Charlotte Wiking, Project Manager for the Stockholm Furniture Fair.
In the guide you will find information about the Stockholm Furniture Fair and the Northern Light Fair. There is also an event calendar with design related shows and events in town, as well as lots of design tips for the visitor to Stockholm.
The "Designer Profiles" are a new feature in the guide - six famous designers reveal their watering holes in Stockholm: David Carlson, Creative Director at daviddesign, Gunilla Pont鮬 Fashion Designer, Rasmus Wingårdh, Fashion Designer for Filippa K, Matti Klenell, Lighting Designer, Nina Jobs, Textile Designer and the Defyra-group recommend bars, caf鳬 restaurants and highlights in Stockholm's architecture.
70,000 copies of the guide are distributed in selected outlets in Stockholm and at international furniture fairs in Europe and New York.
The Stockholm Design Guide also highlights exhibitions shown at the Stockholm Furniture Fair. Here you will find amongst others the Stockholm Design Bar/Internicaf鬠this time designed by the group of designers Front (Sofia Lagerkvist, Charlotte van der Lancken, Anna Lindgren and Katja Sävström). Front promises a caf頷ith a continuous party - a place that cannot be missed during your fair visit. Every year the Stockholm Design Bar is designed by a new architect. Previous designers include Thomas Sandell and the group of architects Marge.
