Level 34 by Vitra

Level 34 by Vitra

January 11, 2006  |  Senay TOPCUOGLU

Vitra, working with designer Werner Aisslinger, has developed the concept of free-standing modular furniture.

The result of this collaboration is Level 34: an expandable, autonomous furniture system that combines classic design, aesthetic appeal and modular functionalism with architectural qualities.

Work areas and relaxation zones, individual spaces and storage facilities can be created without altering the physical structure of a building.

Level 34 uses a minimal number of parts to generate an infinite array of individual solutions.

The system can be used to create workplaces in any type of office or to form less conventional innovative studio spaces.

Level 34 also can be used for lobbies, as a reception desk, for meeting points such as coffee counters and lounge areas or as storage to separate individual parts of the office.

The interconnecting base stands 34 cm high and incorporates cable management.

The innovative horizontal and vertical cable channels allow flexible office planning without having to consider double flooring or the positioning of cable outlets.
