Heavenspot Creates 3D Game for New Line Cinema's "Running Scared"

Heavenspot, a full service new media design agency located in Hollywood, California has recently completed the (Online Game) for the upcoming New Line Cinema feature film "Running Scared." The fast-paced crime drama, which stars Paul Walker and is directed by Wayne Kramer ("The Cooler"), is scheduled for a February 24 release.

The game package includes cutting edge 3D animation, a fresh interface design, 5 unique levels that represent the storyline; high quality flash video cut scenes as well as a "PG" version and "Mature Content" version.

The project was designed to provide New Line Cinema with a method to market the movie aggressively and responsibly through an online game intended for consumers 17+ which could be made available in an access-controlled environment. Players face scenarios from the film as Paul Walker's character and each level of gameplay is preceded by a movie clip to set up the action.

"Running Scared" stars Walker as a low-level mobster who, in order to save his family, must recover a gun used in a mob hit before it's found by his bosses or the cops.

Chevon Hicks, Creative Director of Heavenspot comments, " A large part of the project involved developing the Mature Content area of the game which gave us creative freedom to bring in certain aspects of the film that were not appropriate for a younger audience."

Work on the project began in November 2005 and was completed in the beginning of February 2006. All design, animation and production was completed in Heavenspot's Hollywood, CA, headquarters. Design & animation for the project was completed in Photoshop CS2, IllustratorCS2, Flash 8, Shockwave, Maya 7.0 and 3D Studio Max 8.0.
