DD STUDIO Creates a New Visual Brand Language for Clarion

DD STUDIO Creates a New Visual Brand Language for Clarion

March 28, 2006  |  Levent OZLER

DD STUDIO reinvents Clarion's U.S. image and revives sales with a distinctive Visual Brand Language for its automotive entertainment systems.

DD applied its brand-focused strategy to 14 products across 3 product categories. Family themes are used with variations in character for in-car and trunk-based components. The seat back displays and GPS units are accentuated with subtle blue halos and slim silver trim rings. The Amps shake things up with heavy metal finishes.

The overall color palette mixed matte & gloss black or matte silver & chrome with metal labeling & blue illumination for added impact.

Distinctive touches include:
Responsive /Intuitive key mapping for immediate response.
Repeating motifs including soft laser etch keys, chrome racetrack.
Light used to sculpt the products and give an added dimension.

Personal expression is enhanced as consumers outfit their vehicles with components that not only gratify the senses, but fuel the journey.
