Concours International des Jeunes Createurs de Mode - Paris
The competition was born in 1982 in Japan and was sponsored by Air France. One year later with the participation of the Fédération Française de la Couture, du Prêt à Porter des Couturiers et des Créateurs de Mode, it became an international event. In 2006, they will held their 24 rd anniversary. This Fashion design competition is one of the most prestigious student contest. Each year, about 800 people come to Paris to attend the Fnalist's Fashion Show. Each country is represented by its 10 fashion finalists and its 5 finalists in the accessories category. 17 countries take part in 2005.

The Arts of Fashion Foundation - San Francisco
The Arts of Fashion Foundation is a non-profit public organization dedicated to international cultural exchanges through a variety of events meant to facilitate critical thinking among artists, designers, scholars and students.

Nathalie Doucet a fashion design professor, was chosen as the coordinator for the U.S. segment of the Concours International des Jeunes Createurs de Mode in December 2001. As part of her responsibility, she has taken on the challenge of redefining and redesigning the organization of this national student fashion competition named the AF-Competition. As a result, the AF Foundation was created in April 2002. A more encompassing event year after year is organized and structured with seminars, debates, lectures and exhibitions open to the public, students, and faculty coming for the event from all over the U.S. In addition, the AF Foundation sponsors the entrance fees in Paris for the fifteen of the final finalists to present their work in Paris at the Concours International des Jeunes Createurs de Mode promoting young talents on the international scene.
