A high-tech ATV for the handicapped, the iBOT 3000 Mobility System comes equipped with four-wheel drive to rumble across grass, gravel and other terrain that can stymie traditional wheelchairs. But what really makes the iBOT unique is its ability to scale curbs, climb stairs, and even stand up: It uses computer software and gyroscopes to rise up on two wheels and elevate its rider to eye level. If this kind of balancing act sounds familiar, it's because iBOT is the brainchild of Segway scooter inventor Dean Kamen.
