Like its host neighborhood, this past weekend's Bklyn Designs show boasted unique style and sophistication.
There was no shortage of inspirational designs and a green-conscious attitude at the event.
The annual three-day show featured a number of talented Brooklyn-based designers and manufacturers of contemporary furnishings including furniture, lighting, wallcoverings, linens, rugs and decorative accessories.
The exhibitors had unique displays at several DUMBO (down under the Manhattan Bridge overpass) locations, including St. Ann's Warehouse.
The line-up included 55 firms, nearly double the number since the show's inception in 2003.
"The growth of Bklyn Designs highlights our borough's burgeoning creative economy," said Kenneth Adams, president of the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce.
"Year after year, Brooklyn's reputation for design excellence and craftsmanship attracts new talent, business and investment."
A common theme among the products lines was the use of sustainable materials.
Many companies used reclaimed woods and local materials to create their unique offerings.
Purekitchen featured its new line of bamboo doors with a variety of finishes and hardware selections.
