Nola Pictures' Juan Delcan Animates for CFDA

In addition to his work as a live action director, Juan Delcan of Nola Pictures recently flexed his creative director and animator skills in a Waking Life-inspired piece that aired at the CFDA (Council of Fashion Designers of America) Awards earlier this summer.

In the piece, young designer Zac Posen delves into the professional past of designer Joan Kaner. Opening with a home theatre-like effect, the animation features a breezy exchange between the two fashion artists in which Kaner and her work life get animated, and easy black-and-white doodles highlight the certain details of her career. The piece showcases a mix of simple and complex drawings as an artsy means of relaying the life and times of Joan Kaner.
